Summary:
The Strawberry Patch Pancake House was a slow-paced but cutesy romance with a single hot-headed chef who just found out he has a daughter. Now he needs to settle down in a small town, look for a nanny to help him take care of his 5-year-old, whilst running a diner. Is this nanny going to make his life easier or become a distraction? I guess you’re going to have to read and find out!

Merca’s Review:
What a mouthful of a title to keep saying, a tongue twister.
I enjoyed it for a slow paced romance book, I kinda loved that the town was all in on the pancake mystery and giving him the “High End Chef” sh*t not able to make their beloved classic pancake.
I didn’t like how indecisive Iris was, whether or not she wanted Archer. The back-and-forth was not giving me anything, but that is just me.
I have never read a single dad trope before, and I didn’t love it or hate it. For me, it was a light, funny read & I loved that and was a much-needed break from another book I had to DNF because it got weird/crazy (that’s another story for another post)
Would I recommend it? Yes, but I wouldn’t try to sell anyone on it or say it wowed me.

Masha’s Review:
My book bestie has recently put me on romance books, so I’m kinda new in the department.
This book was on our TBR list for the longest, so we finally decided to give it a shot.
Definitely not enough spice to my liking.
The majority of the reviews and summaries online mention mystery. Maybe my definition of mystery is different, but the secret pancake recipe was lackluster/boring.
I also thought Iris getting pregnant was silly and didn’t add anything special to the storyline.
Overall, it was a short, predictable, happy-ending book.
Would I recommend it? If you’re looking for a light and fun way to pass time, yeah, sure. I just don’t see myself picking it back up again.
