Merca’s Review:

Off rip, I don’t like the female’s Name Glydon, yuck! At the end, I still didn’t like the name, but I pushed through lol. 

I thought the book was great. When I thought about the review I was going to write, I was thinking about adding a disclaimer about the first scene she had with the main male character BUT if y’all are into dark romance, y’all know that sometimes it’s like that in these dark romance novels.

So if y’all don’t like it, don’t read it.  I don’t say that in a harsh tone at all, nothing but love ❣️ Y’all know that in the end she’ll admit to wanting it 🤷 (again, IN THE BOOK).

Anyways 

I loved their dynamic. I loved how she also played the game with him and was making him jealous instead of just taking it. 

You know what also caught my eye was that when Gyn received info about her late friend Devlin and didn’t run from it but head on, straight forwardly asked Killian if he did it instead of running away like other books, I loved it.  An not that its bad in a book but it does seem like most of the time in these romance book its the same formula, if that makes sense.

Let me explain deeper, ( getting sidetracked here, bear with me)

But for me, I noticed in almost every book it’s the same 

• There is a secret the Male character is hiding
• The female finds out and is in shock 
• Runs away without talking or asking
• Male is confused and finds out on his own
• Finds her,  blah blah the rest of the story 

But here she at least asked him first before she left, now Killian gives a Killian answer that she didn’t like lol 

But it was refreshing, I guess.

  I loved her friend group and can’t wait till I read their love story. 

Give me a good book with a morally grey bad man and a sweet vengeful gal, and I am hooked.

Can’t wait to continue the series!!

P.S.

I gave it a 1 🔪(thriller) because the secret at the end I didn’t care for, them tying in Cherrie was not it for me. But again, I don’t read dark romance for just the thriller part  🙃

Fav moments: SPOILERS!!!

• When Gyn thought she had won the initiation, but in fact Killian tapped her with his bat, I thought it was hilariously sweet. 
• All the moments that Glyn tried to get him jealous.
• Lan and Killion’s moments were funny, too

Masha’s Review:

Such a good book!! If I could give this book 4.5 stars, I would! Now I finally see what the hype was all about. Read it in less than three days, just could not put it down.

Talk about falling for a psychopath. It almost makes me wish I had the balls to wander into the woods just to be cornered by a man like Killian LOL. For those of you that disagree or think it’s “too much”, remember the trigger warnings. The darkness isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay.

Glyndon was a vibe. I really liked her personality and the fact that, although perceived as the quiet one, she let loose when it came to her desires. The author could’ve picked a better name for her, though. Glyn makes me think of an 84-year-old woman who can barely get up from the couch without assistance. 

The mystery part of it was so predictable. In the very beginning, I had a feeling Devlin was a bad guy, and maybe Killian had gotten rid of him to protect Glyn. But as the story progressed, I knew he was still alive and didn’t have good intentions towards Glyn whatsoever. Always believe the psycho that’s in love with you. Advice I’ve picked up on in my dark romance experience. 

In terms of the family tree, I found myself going back to it often (but that’s just me, I’m a little dyslexic). I can’t wait to read everybody else’s love stories! I have high expectations for this series.
