Author: Morgan Bridges

Genre: Dark Romance

Summary:

“Now You’re Mine” is the second book in the “Possessing Her” duet, where Hayden and Calista continue their passionate, obsessive story, eventually leading to a happily ever after. In this novel, Calista will find out the secrets Hayden has been keeping from her, as well as solve the mystery of her father’s death, although it will not come easily. They will both have to face the intensity of their love and the constant danger tied to it. Somehow, they are fated to be together, but at what cost?

Merca’s Review:

To be honest, I read the book a while ago and can’t remember all the details…

Moving forward, I promise as soon as I am done reading the novels, I will put time aside and write with it fresh on my mind.

SPOILERS

But what I do remember, I just thought it got stupid. Calista, in my opinion, had something wrong with her. She was more mad that he was the one stalking her but not killing her father, like what 🤯

An Hayden, how is this man so smart and has been doing this for years, but fucked up and didn’t do his research enough to know that the Father was being blackmailed and ended up killing an innocent man. Idk,things didn’t add up.

Tell me, I’m Wrong and being a killjoy?? What are your thoughts if you read the book?

Masha’s Review:

Quite frankly, if I can barely remember the characters’ names, it means the book wasn’t remarkable whatsoever. Nothing special about this sequence, to be honest, they could’ve cut down half of this storyline and kept it all in one book. There were some intense/sexy moments, but not enough to leave an impression.

I also think the whole “mystery” revolving around the father was so stupid and pointless. It wasn’t even anybody that was introduced early on, so there’s no way any of us could’ve seen that coming. And I’m not talking about being able to predict it. I’m big on thrillers and suspense, so the fact that there was no build-up, whether it was in this book or in the first book, really threw me off in a bad way.

Morgan could’ve skipped this entirely, but I get that sometimes authors get carried away or fall under pressure from their readers. I just thought it was unnecessary to drag it out.
